Melissa has been active in her yoga practice for over 20 years. Melissa has been active in Yoga Alliance since 2011 to include serving on the Standards Committee. Along with her 200RYT, Melissa has completed 100 hours in a certification course specializing in PTSD/Trauma Sensitive Yoga in July of 2014 and currently teaches both private and group classes focusing on trauma-sensitive yoga.
In August of 2017, Melissa opened Studio Z Yoga in Zelienople, PA. A non-heated studio focusing on classes for all levels of practice.

Melissa offers individual and group instruction around the Pittsburgh area and has partnered with both corporate organizations and other community groups to offer trauma sensitive yoga and vinyasa flow classes. She teaches individual one on one sessions from her studio at reasonable prices and accommodating most schedules.
Along with teaching, training and involved in her local yoga community, Melissa has severed on subcommittees for Yoga Alliance and is a public speaker on the role plays in grief and healing.
When not teaching and learning, Melissa enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, anything outside and a good cup of coffee. Melissa has experience teaching and training in Kids Yoga, Yoga for Wellness, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Prenatal Yoga/Postpartum and SUP Yoga.
