Online Teaching Application Open (2022-23)
October 4, 2021
The 2022–2023 Online Teaching Application is now open!
All Registered Yoga Schools (RYSs) wishing to hold teacher training programs 100 percent online or in a blended format in 2022 and/or 2023 can do so by applying to the new application.
The 2022–2023 Online Teaching Application introduces new requirements that will remain active through December 31, 2023. This timeline helps RYSs continue to share accessible and equitable yoga to their communities while Yoga Alliance builds out important enhancements to the Elevated RYS Standards, including adaptations to the online environment. All schools will be required to up-level to the Elevated RYS Standards by December 31, 2023 and can anticipate hearing from us with more information in 2022.
Additional information regarding Elevated RYS 300 and 500 Standards will be shared prior to the end of this year.

All standards are rooted in the YA Ethical Commitment, which unites us around shared principles and fosters safe and respectful guidelines for the profession of yoga teaching. We encourage all members to review its core pillars, including the Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, and position on equity.

Yoga Alliance advises all schools applying to the new Online Teaching Application to refrain from announcing their 2022 or 2023 RYS online programs until they have received approval from Yoga Alliance. This creates space for the application review process and avoids confusion for potential trainees.
